The Benton-Franklin Council of Governments (BFCG) has published an RFP for Brownfield Grants and Implementation Services. Submittals from qualified consultants for BFCG Brownfield Grants and Implementation Services should be sent to by September 1st, 2020 no later than 1:00 p.m.

Benton-Franklin Economic Development District – EDA-RLF-CARES – Loan Fund

The Benton-Franklin Economic Development District has been awarded a Covid-19 Relief Fund from the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA) in the amount of $1.4 million in CARES Act Recovery Assistance to help businesses rebound from the effects of the coronavirus and Covid-19.

The Revolving Loan Fund is accepting loan applications from businesses who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and may need help to restart their business once the restrictions have been eased. You are encouraged to apply and please be prepared to demonstrate the effects the pandemic has had on your business.

BFCG Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement

The Benton-Franklin Council of Governments values the health and safety of our employees, our member jurisdictions, and the public. We would like to share information on how we will continue to serve you amid concerns of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

We are closely monitoring the spread of the COVID-19 and following guidance from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and local government agencies in the communities we serve. We are communicating with our employees to keep them informed of our plans and ways they can protect members and themselves. We have also enhanced the cleaning of high-touch areas in our facility.

During this time, some of our employees will be working remotely, and will have access to their e-mail accounts. Phone messages will also be relayed, but may receive delayed responses. The best way to contact our staff during this time will be by e-mail.

Although we may still have limited staff working in the office, the office will be closed to visitors without prior authorization.

The wellness of our employees, our member jurisdictions and the public is of utmost importance and we wish you good health as we transition through this together.
