COVID – 19 Relief Loan Fund

The Benton-Franklin Economic Development District has been awarded a Covid-19 Relief Fund from the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA) in the amount of $1.4 million in CARES Act Recovery Assistance to help businesses rebound from the effects of the coronavirus and Covid-19.

The Revolving Loan Fund is accepting loan applications from businesses who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and may need help to restart their business once the restrictions have been eased. You are encouraged to apply and please be prepared to demonstrate the effects the pandemic has had on your business.

BFCG Regional Active Transportation Plan (ATP) Virtual Open House – 8/12

BFCG will be hosting a virtual open house to display the Regional Active Transportation Plan (ATP). The open house will be on Wednesday, August 12 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm and held via Zoom at the url posted here: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81543908481.

Attend to learn about the region’s current and future active transportation system, upcoming projects that will benefit active transportation system, and the level of traffic stress (LTS) implemented in the Active Transportation Plan.

Transportation Management Area (TMA) Certification Review

The U.S Department of Transportation (USDOT) is required by federal law to review and evaluate the transportation planning processes of Transportation Management Areas (TMAs) every four years.  Benton-Franklin Council of Governments (BFCG) is the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization for the Benton and Franklin counties region of the state of Washington, and is also designated as a transportation management area (TMA).

USDOT is soliciting public feedback on BFCG’s work in transportation.  Examples may include the areas below or any area of specific interest to you:

Revisión de la Certificación del Área de Gestión de Transporte (TMA)

Franklin del estado de Washington y también ha sido designada un área de gestión de transporte
(TMA).
