CALL FOR PROJECTS
2017—2019 WSDOT CONSOLIDATED GRANT PROGRAM
The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has released the Public Transportation Consolidated Grant Application for July 2017 to June 2019 and formally opened the application process. You may access the grant forms and information at: http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/Transit/Grants/competitive.htm
WSDOT Consolidated Grant applications are due in Olympia at 5:00 pm on Friday, October 14th.
In order to be eligible for this grant program, projects must address identified needs in a locally developed Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan (HSTP). The Benton-Franklin Council of Governments (BFCG) coordinates development of the HSTP and administers the Consolidated Grant process at the regional level.
The list of regional needs may be found here: 2016 Benton-Franklin RTPO Human Service Transportation Plan Identified Needs
In order to be eligible for this grant program, projects must be prioritized by the Regional Transportation Planning Organization (RTPO). To assist in that process, we are asking that a short project summary be submitted electronically to BFCG offices by 12:00 pm on Friday, October 7th.
The project summary form may be found here: Grant Application Project Summary for Benton-Franklin RTPO
If you would prefer the Summary in Word format, please email Len Pavelka
If necessary, applicants will meet with the BFCG HSTP Advisory Committee to review projects and develop rankings. The meeting will be held on October 21st, 2016 at the Three Rivers Transit Center, 7109 West Okanogan Place in Kennewick at 1:30 p.m.
If you have any questions about the regional process administered by the Council of Governments, please contact Len Pavelka or (509) 943-9185
If you have any questions about the statewide Consolidated Grant process administered by WSDOT, please contact Tom Hanson or (360) 705-7919
